A vulnerability was found in HP OpenView Network Node Manager 7.53 (Network Management Software). It has been rated as very critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file nnmRptConfig.exe. The manipulation of the argument data_select1 with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The weakness was released 01/13/2011 by SilentSignal with TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-0265. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
