Bugzilla before 3.2.10, 3.4.x before 3.4.10, 3.6.x before 3.6.4, and 4.0.x before 4.0rc2 does not properly handle whitespace preceding a (1) javascript: or (2) data: URI, which allows remote attackers to conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks via the URL (aka bug_file_loc) field.
The weakness was shared 01/24/2011 by Michael Brooks with Mozilla as Bug 619588 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-4567. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
