The weakness was presented 08/02/2012 as Opera 11.66 for Mac as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is shared for download at opera.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-4145 since 08/06/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
