Use-after-free vulnerability in win32k.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2, R2, and R2 SP1, and Windows 7 Gold and SP1 allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application, aka "Win32k Use After Free Vulnerability."
The weakness was presented 08/14/2012 by Matthew Jurczyk with Google Security Team as MS12-055 as confirmed bulletin (Microsoft Technet). It is possible to read the advisory at technet.microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with Microsoft. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2012-2527 since 05/09/2012. The exploitability is told to be easy.
