A vulnerability was found in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.5.1/10.1.3 (Document Reader Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code. The weakness was shared 08/14/2012 by Pavel Polischouk (Adobe) with TELUS Security Labs as APSB12-16 as confirmed bulletin (Website). The advisory is available at adobe.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-2049 since 04/02/2012. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack needs to be initiated within the local network. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.
