Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Mozilla Firefox 4.x through 9.0, Thunderbird 5.0 through 9.0, and SeaMonkey before 2.7 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a (1) web page or (2) Firefox extension, related to improper enforcement of XPConnect security restrictions for frame scripts that call untrusted objects.
The weakness was presented 02/01/2012 by moz_bug_r_a4 as Bug 705651 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-0446 since 01/09/2012. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
