Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the quiz_question_tostring function in mod/quiz/editlib.php in Moodle through 2.3.11, 2.4.x before 2.4.9, 2.5.x before 2.5.5, and 2.6.x before 2.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a quiz question.

The weakness was disclosed 03/24/2014 (Website). The advisory is available at moodle.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-2571 since 03/20/2014. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. A authentication is necessary for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
