Multiple vulnerabilities existed in bash. These issues were addressed by updating bash to patch level 57.

Upgrading to version 10.10.2 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 16823.
