Opera before 12.10 does not properly implement the Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) specification, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended page-content restrictions via a crafted request.

The weakness was presented 11/06/2012 by Attila Suszter with Google Security Group as 1033 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at opera.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-6462 since 01/02/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely.
