Integer overflow in Google Chrome before 24.0.1312.52 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted JavaScript code in a PDF document.
The weakness was shared 01/10/2013 by Mateusz Jurczyk and Gynvael Coldwind (Inferno) with Google Security Team as 165538 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at code.google.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-5151 since 09/24/2012. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
