The weakness was disclosed 01/10/2013 by Chris Evans (Inferno) with Google Chrome Security Team as 164490 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at code.google.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-5154 since 09/24/2012. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. Additional levels of successful authentication are required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
