Google V8 before 3.14.5.3, as used in Google Chrome before 24.0.1312.52, does not properly implement garbage collection, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted JavaScript code.

The weakness was shared 01/10/2013 by Cris Neckar (Inferno) with Google Chrome Security Team as 150545 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at code.google.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-0836 since 01/07/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
