Comodo GeekBuddy before 4.18.121 does not restrict access to the VNC server, which allows local users to gain privileges by connecting to the server.

The weakness was shared 06/09/2015 by Jeremy Brown with Brown (Website). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-7872 since 10/06/2014. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
