win32k.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2, and Windows RT Gold and 8.1 allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via a crafted application, aka "Win32k Information Disclosure Vulnerability," a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-2382.

The weakness was presented 07/14/2015 as MS15-073 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-2381. The attack needs to be approached locally. The successful exploitation requires a single authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
