A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Windows up to Server 2012 R2 (Operating System) and classified as problematic. win32k.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2, and Windows RT Gold and 8.1 allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via a crafted application, aka "Win32k Information Disclosure Vulnerability," a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-2381.
The weakness was shared 07/14/2015 as MS15-073 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-2382. An attack has to be approached locally. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.
