The weakness was released 02/19/2013 by Olli Pettay, Christoph Diehl, Gary Kwong, Jesse Ruderman, Andrew McCreight, Joe Drew and Wayne Mery (Inferno) with Google Chrome Security Team as MFSA 2013-21 as confirmed advisory (Mozilla Blog). It is possible to read the advisory at mozilla.org. The public release was coordinated with Mozilla. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-0784 since 01/02/2013. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
