The kernel in Apple iOS before 9 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via unspecified vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-5868 and CVE-2015-5896.
The weakness was presented 09/23/2015 with CESG as HT205213 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-5903 since 08/06/2015. The exploitation is known to be difficult. An attack has to be approached locally. A memory corruption issue existed in the kernel. This issue was addressed through improved memory handling.
The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 370192 (Apple Mac OS X v10.11 Not Installed (APPLE-SA-2015-09-30-3)).
