A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Oracle Java up to 7 Update 17 (Programming Language Software). This affects an unknown function of the component 2D. NOTE: the previous information is from the April 2013 CPU. Oracle has not commented on claims from another vendor that this issue is related to "checking of [a] glyph table" in the International Components for Unicode (ICU) Layout Engine before 51.2.

The advisory is shared at oracle.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2013-1569 since 01/30/2013. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
The exploit is shared for download at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k.
