A vulnerability has been found in IBM Informix Dynamic Server (Information Management Software) (the affected version is unknown) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function ifx_file_to_file. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. Buffer overflow in IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) before 9.40.TC7 and 10.00 before 10.00.TC3, when running on Windows, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long username.
The bug was discovered 01/06/2005. The weakness was shared 07/31/2006 by David Litchfield with Next Generation Security Software (Website). The advisory is shared for download at www-1.ibm.com.
