Multiple integer overflows in X.org libXrandr before 1.5.1 allow remote X servers to trigger out-of-bounds write operations via a crafted response.
The weakness was presented 10/05/2016 by Tobias Stoeckmann with OpenBSD (Website). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-7947 since 09/09/2016. The exploitation is known to be easy.
