The bug was discovered 11/21/2016. The weakness was published 01/20/2017 by Martin (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-8642 since 10/12/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
