The Utah RLE reader in GraphicsMagick before 1.3.25 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption or large memory allocations) via vectors involving the header information and the file size.
The bug was discovered 09/18/2016. The weakness was released 02/06/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.opensuse.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-7448 since 09/09/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
