A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in FFmpeg up to 2.8.9/3.0.4/3.1.5/3.2.1 (Multimedia Processing Software). Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file ffserver.c of the component Chunk Size Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Heap-based buffer overflow in ffserver.c in FFmpeg before 2.8.10, 3.0.x before 3.0.5, 3.1.x before 3.1.6, and 3.2.x before 3.2.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging failure to check chunk size.
