ImageMagick 6.x before 6.9.0-5 Beta allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted MIFF file.
The bug was discovered 06/06/2016. The weakness was disclosed 02/27/2017 (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2015-8901 since 06/05/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
