A vulnerability was found in ZZIPlib 0.13.62. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function zzip_mem_entry_new of the file memdisk.c of the component ZIP Archive Handler. The zzip_mem_entry_new function in memdisk.c in zziplib 0.13.62 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and crash) via a crafted ZIP file.
The bug was discovered 03/01/2017. The weakness was released 03/01/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com.
