The decodeSample function in IMA.cpp in Audio File Library (aka audiofile) 0.3.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted file.

The bug was discovered 03/20/2017. The weakness was released 03/20/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-6829 since 03/12/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
