tools/tiffcrop.c in libtiff 4.0.6 reads an undefined buffer in readContigStripsIntoBuffer() because of a uint16 integer overflow. Reported as MSVR 35100.

This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-9538 since 11/21/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. An out-of-bound read existed in LibTIFF versions before 4.0.7. This was addressed by updating LibTIFF in AKCmds to version 4.0.7.
