A vulnerability has been found in ImageMagick (Image Processing Software) (unknown version) and classified as problematic. ImageMagick allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault and application crash) via a crafted xwd image.
The bug was discovered 06/02/2016. The weakness was released 03/30/2017 (oss-sec). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-9809 since 06/02/2016. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
