The SimpleSAML_Auth_TimeLimitedToken class in SimpleSAMLphp 1.14.14 and earlier allows attackers with access to a secret token to extend its validity period by manipulating the prepended time offset.

The bug was discovered 08/01/2017. The weakness was released 08/29/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at simplesamlphp.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-12867 since 08/15/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
