The bug was discovered 07/25/2017. The weakness was shared 10/27/2017 by Takeshi Terada with Ant-financial Light-Year Security Lab (Website). The advisory is shared at security.gentoo.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-5095 since 01/02/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
