The first day of Pwn2Own 2014 saw successful attempts by five entrants against five products, with payouts of $400,000 to researchers in the main competition and $82,500 to charity in the Pwn4Fun sponsors-only event.
This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-0512 since 12/20/2013. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 14 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $25k-$100k.
