An issue has been discovered in GitLab affecting all versions starting from 15.0 before 15.0.1. Missing validation of input used in quick actions allowed an attacker to exploit XSS by injecting HTML in contact details.

The weakness was disclosed 07/29/2022 as 673. The advisory is shared at gitlab.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2022-1948 since 05/31/2022. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. Upgrading to version 15.0.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
