Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in phpBB 2.0.14 and earlier allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) u parameter to profile.php, (2) highlight parameter to viewtopic.php, or (3) forumname or forumdesc parameters to admin_forums.php.
The bug was discovered 04/23/2005. The weakness was disclosed 05/02/2005 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at neosecurityteam.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-1290 since 04/26/2005. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

By approaching the search of inurl:profile.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
