The bug was discovered 04/01/2009. The weakness was disclosed 04/01/2009 by Dyon Balding with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is available at ezbsystems.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-3871 since 08/29/2008. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 116343 (UltraISO Multiple Disk Image Parsing Vulnerabilities).

Upgrading to version 9.3.1.2633 eliminates this vulnerability.
