Heap-based buffer overflow in Impress in OpenOffice.org (OOo) 2.x and 3.x before 3.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted PNG file in an ODF or Microsoft Office document, as demonstrated by a PowerPoint (aka PPT) document.
The weakness was shared 01/26/2011 by Dan Rosenberg with Red Hat as Bug 658259 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-4253. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
