The weakness was shared 09/12/2012 by Abhishek Arya (Inferno) with Google Chrome Security Team as APPLE-SA-2012-09-12-1 as confirmed posting (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.apple.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-3622 since 06/19/2012. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
