Memory leak in the __key_link_end function in security/keys/keyring.c in the Linux kernel before 4.1.4 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via many add_key system calls that refer to existing keys.
The weakness was released 07/27/2015 as Bug 1245658 as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-1333 since 01/22/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. Attacking locally is a requirement. Required for exploitation is a single authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.

It is assigned to the family OracleVM Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 175492 (Debian Security Update for linux (DSA 3329-1)).
