Quick Emulator (Qemu) built with the USB EHCI Emulation support is vulnerable to a memory leakage issue. It could occur while processing packet data in 'ehci_init_transfer'. A guest user/process could use this issue to leak host memory, resulting in DoS for a host.
The bug was discovered 12/23/2016. The weakness was presented 12/23/2016 by Prasad J Pandit (Website). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-9911 since 12/08/2016. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally.
