CVE-2026-110475 in Collections Platforminfo

Summary

by MITRE • 10/26/2026

This vulnerability exists in the CreditNirvana Collections Platform due to improper authentication and authorization controls at the platform login service. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating authentication requests and accessing APIs without a valid authenticated session on the targeted system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to enumerate platform users, establish sessions as arbitrary users including administrative users, access and modify sensitive information with the privileges of the impersonated user.

Analysis

by VulDB Data Team • 10/26/2026

The CreditNirvana Collections Platform suffers from a critical security flaw rooted in improper authentication and authorization controls within its login service architecture. This vulnerability allows for complete bypass of standard identity verification mechanisms, enabling unauthenticated remote attackers to interact directly with backend application programming interfaces without possessing valid session tokens or credentials. The core technical failure lies in the platform's inability to properly validate the origin and integrity of authentication requests, creating a pathway where state-changing operations can be executed by entities that have not undergone any form of identity proofing. This represents a fundamental breakdown in the security boundary between untrusted external inputs and trusted internal system resources.

From an operational perspective, this flaw grants attackers significant leverage over the platform's data integrity and confidentiality. By manipulating authentication requests, an adversary can enumerate valid user accounts within the system, effectively mapping out the organizational structure and identifying high-value targets such as administrative personnel. More critically, the attacker is capable of establishing sessions under arbitrary identities, including those with elevated privileges. This means that once a session is forged or hijacked through this vulnerability, the attacker inherits all permissions associated with the impersonated user account. Consequently, sensitive financial data, personal identifiable information belonging to debtors, and internal operational records become accessible for exfiltration, modification, or destruction.

This type of vulnerability aligns closely with Common Weakness Enumeration category CWE-287, which describes Improper Authentication, as well as CWE-862 regarding Missing Authorization Checks. The attack vector is consistent with MITRE ATT&CK technique T1078, specifically Valid Accounts, where adversaries use legitimate credentials or forged sessions to maintain access and move laterally within a network environment. Because the exploitation requires no prior authentication, it falls under remote code execution patterns that do not require user interaction, significantly increasing its severity rating in standard vulnerability scoring systems like CVSS.

To mitigate this risk, immediate remediation efforts must focus on hardening the login service's validation logic. Developers should implement strict input validation to ensure all API requests originate from legitimate sources and contain properly signed session tokens. Implementing multi-factor authentication adds a layer of defense that can prevent unauthorized access even if credentials are compromised or sessions are forged. Additionally, adopting zero-trust architecture principles where every request is verified regardless of its source network location will help close this gap. Regular security audits and penetration testing focused on API endpoints are essential to detect similar flaws before they can be exploited in production environments.
