Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file login.php of the component HTTP Header Handler. Command injection vulnerability in login.php in Synology Photo Station before 6.5.3-3226 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in the crafted 'X-Forwarded-For' header.
The bug was discovered 09/23/2015. The weakness was published 05/12/2017 as not defined mailinglist post (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-10329 since 04/18/2017. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
