The socketfilterfw command line tool's --blockApp option did not properly block applications from receiving network connections. This issue was addressed through improved handling of the --blockApp options.This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-5165 since 08/15/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
