Mozilla Firefox before 26.0 and SeaMonkey before 2.23 do not properly consider the sandbox attribute of an IFRAME element during processing of a contained OBJECT element, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended sandbox restrictions via a crafted web site.
The weakness was shared 12/10/2013 by Daniel Veditz with Mozilla as MFSA2013-107 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at mozilla.org. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-5614 since 08/26/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
