A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Word Viewer, Office Compatibility Pack and Word 2003 SP3/2007 SP3 (Word Processing Software). It has been classified as very critical. The weakness was shared 01/14/2014 by Mateusz Jurczyk, Ben Hawkes and Ivan Fratric with Google Security Team as MS14-001 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-0258 since 12/03/2013. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
