A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Google Chrome up to 33.0.1750.117 (Web Browser). Affected is the function SVGImage::setContainerSize of the file core/svg/graphics/svgimage.cpp of the component SVG Image Handler. Use-after-free vulnerability in the SVGImage::setContainerSize function in core/svg/graphics/SVGImage.cpp in the SVG implementation in Blink, as used in Google Chrome before 33.0.1750.146, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the resizing of a view.
The weakness was presented 03/03/2014 by Security Team with Google Chrome Security Team as Stable Channel Update, March 2014 as confirmed release notes (Blog). The advisory is shared for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-6663 since 11/05/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
