A vulnerability was found in FasterXML jackson-databind up to 2.9.6 (Programming Language Software). It has been classified as critical. FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.7 might allow attackers to conduct external XML entity (XXE) attacks by leveraging failure to block unspecified JDK classes from polymorphic deserialization.
The bug was discovered 07/27/2018. The weakness was released 01/02/2019 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com.
