The docshell implementation in Mozilla Firefox before 29.0, Firefox ESR 24.x before 24.5, Thunderbird before 24.5, and SeaMonkey before 2.26 allows remote attackers to trigger the loading of a URL with a spoofed baseURI property, and conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, via a crafted web site that performs history navigation.
The weakness was presented 04/29/2014 by moz_bug_r_a4 as MFSA2014-43 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-1530 since 01/16/2014. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
