The sslConnectTimeout function in ssl.c for Squid 2.5.STABLE10 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) via certain crafted requests.

The bug was discovered 09/02/2005. The weakness was disclosed 09/01/2005 by Alex Masterov (Website). The advisory is available at squid-cache.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-2796 since 09/06/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
