Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 allows remote attackers to bypass restrictions for executing scripts via an object that processes asynchronous events after the initial security checks have been made.
The issue has been introduced in 07/08/2000. The weakness was presented 03/08/2002 with Microsoft as MS02-005 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2002-0026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
