Pramati Server 3.0, when running on Windows, allows remote attackers to retrieve files in the WEB-INF directory, which contains Java class files and configuration information, via a request to the WEB-INF directory with a trailing dot ("WEB-INF.").

The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2002 by Matt Moore with WESTPOINT (Website). The advisory is available at online.securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2002-1860 since 06/29/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 11037 (Multiple Server Crafted Request WEB-INF Directory Information Disclosure), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses and running in the context r. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 10770 (Multiple Vendor WEB-INF Directory Contents Disclosure Vulnerability).

Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem.
