Sybase Enterprise Application Server 4.0, when running on Windows, allows remote attackers to retrieve files in the WEB-INF directory, which contains Java class files and configuration information, via a request to the WEB-INF directory with a trailing dot ("WEB-INF.").
The weakness was presented 12/31/2002 by Matt Moore with WESTPOINT (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at westpoint.ltd.uk. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2002-1861 since 06/29/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
